For the describe, I purchased my X25M from ANTOnline (via Amazon) and I am very pleased. I'm not discounting the experiences that others have had, merely sharing my have. Unlike Newegg, TigerDirect, and various other Amazon partners, there was no designate gouging at ANTOnline. The designate wasn't $599 before shipping (Newegg and Electronica Thunder heed), or $649 (TigerDirect as Amazon partner note) . At ANTOnline it was priced a retail, with no tax, and cheap shipping. Mine was $502 shipped, purchased 10/2. It shipped and was delivered promptly.
The drive is blazingly lickety-split and I have had no problems whatsoever (even after applying the recent Smart firmware from Intel, fortunately) . Combined with Windows 7, it rocks.
Don't lift this product from ANTOnline!!!
I have placed an order with ANTOnline because the items was shown to be "in stock" on Amazon page, then I got confirmation and estimated arrival date. So, then, when the arrival date was passed, I contacted ANTOnline to inspect if there is any tracking number I could consume to search for where the product was. I was hoping that it is out for delivery or very halt to being delivered. Nope. First I got a response that I can track the set of the order online, which I did and it showed me that my item is transferred from central warehouse to local hub and I should acquire it shortly. Ok, I conception it meant that I will accept it shortly. However, in a few hours I got an e-mail from ANTOnline customer service that my product is not in stock in the first space. This happened one week after I have placed the order and got delivery estimate!!! I was very discouraged about that and had to murder the order and I am never going to capture from ANTOnline. This is neither professional nor ethical to treat customers like that!
BEWARE! DO NOT order this product from ANTOnline. Their inventory, shipping/tracking system, and customer service are despicable. I ordered mine last week and it was supposed to ship within 2 days. I called multiple times for order spot this week (when it was supposed to be delivered) and they never gave me the same retort. The order area on the ANTOnline web page always said "Tranferred from regional warehouse to central carrier shipping hub" (gawk the spelling error) . To me, this meant it was in stock, pulled, and was sent to UPS/FedEX for delivery. To ANTOnline, this means nothing... to one person it means backordered, to another it means it is in the warehouse somewhere, to another it means it has been shipped. Inevitably, they refused to assassinate my order until I asked repeatedly by phone and email. They expend a sinister shipping system that doesn't provide any tracking number until possibly the item has been delivered, and they cloak gradual it when you call to ask about the order area (especially with respect to backorders) . I was supposed to receive my order today, so I called and a woman finally told me it was backordered. So I emailed them and requested the order be canceled since they hadn't bothered to give me any information regarding this previously, and it had supposedly shipped last week. This is the response I received:
"We sent a runner down to the warehouse to try and finish, but most orders are pulled and packed trusty time as orders approach in by automated sorting equipment - 24 hours a day / 7 days a week, then sent to giant bins on automatic conveyor for pickup and transfer to a UPS or FedEx central regional shipping hub on the next business day. It is not generous or our policy for someone to climb into the automated sorting equipment or conveyors and try to accumulate a single package from the many thousands in process. If the order is not pulled and packed, we will always try to cessation it when asked, but again, most likely this order was pulled within 1-5 minutes after order placement and is in route."
Notice this has nothing to do with canceling the order, and they quiet couldn't provide any information regarding the order. I had to email them another time to demand a cancellation, and they eventually did as I requested. Any company that can't even hold track of what they have in stock and have shipped should be avoided.
